Space Battleship YAMATO 2199 rough sketch

I've always wanted to draw Space Battleship Yamato, but I have had troubles understanding its shape. It wasn't until recently that I realized it was just an old rolling pin.

I first drew Yamato from my memory, this is my second attempt with references. I like how Yamato looks from behind, so that why I chose this viewing angle. I had to compile the details from multiple references.

I really enjoyed the process because it had a lot to do with observation and finding landmarks for the proportions. I thought leaving this here for the time being and consider doing fine lineart another time
