Hello there people, it's time for an shout-out!
launch art by Boris Rusov (@rockmor on Twitter/X)
The artist assigned to give feedback to you depends on the compexity of the submission as well as the strenghts of the individual artist.
Please allow Pentoria staff 7 business days for the drawing to be critiqued. In case it takes longer than that, you are entitled to 50% refund if you still would like to have your submission critiqued anyway, or 100% refund should you choose to cancel your request.
By default the critiques will be published by Pentoria on their website unless you specifically request not to publish them.
Keep in mind that Pentoria reserves the right to cancel an order or refuse to take an order. But also bear in mind that the funds earned with these commissions are used to compensate Studio Pentoria staff as well as help funding their production budget. So the aim isn't to make profit but rather cover expenditures.
If you want to support independent small studios while also benefiting from it trough art critiques, you might want to give it a go!
Hello there people,
It looks like I'll be stuck with deviantart for now, so gotta deal with it. But that's besides the point. I recently made a comic for Merryweather and his youtube channel. It's really cool that he has voice actors speaking japanese, it really gives a fascinating impression. You can see the comic here, in case I got it right... <da:embed profile="youtube" id="VZ9ojLh0QXQ"/>
Enjoy!
Update 1: Okay, it looks I didn't get it right, apparently that's for the old deviantart, so here is a link for now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ9ojLh0QXQ
(It looks like the official Eclipse guide is either outdated or I'm just too old to understand these "better user interfaces").
Update2: Okay so there is this little (+)sign which appears and disappears depending on what you do, makes perfectly sense to hide essential tools when you are in edit mode... but now it works :P
So... the old user interface is finally gone and the new Eclipse UI takes its place. Even if I knew this day was coming, it still felt like a whiplash straight at the face. Even though I'm not necessarily against change and new things and I understand that the age of mobile devices has brought the challenge of making one UI that fits all devices, this is just terrible. For a long time, deviantART has been pretty much the only site with an UI that makes sense and is actually functional. Even after the new brand update it was still pretty much the same. But this... this is just throwing away all the good old wisdom about good design and functionality. I'm sure you already are aware of them, but for example:
I don't need to see a huge thumbnail of my own drawing when I'm quickly checking comments on them
If I want to see multiple comments of one drawing, I don't need to see huge thumbnails of the same drawing on every single comment
why would I want to waste my time on overly click-heavy navigation and scroll profusely because of excessive useless empty space around everything?
As an architect, I act as an mediator between utility and beauty. I see none of these qualities in the new Eclipse. My soul hurts when ever I have to look at this abomination.
(oh god, even formatting the text is so awful now) I won't delete my account, but I don't think I'll interact much trough dA anymore. Alternatively, if there are any mods that will bring the old UI back, I'm more than interested to know. I feel sorry for :devJemG: (does this tagging even work anymore?) who donated a new core membership just recently, for I'm afraid it will go in waste at this rate. I have just enough dA points left that I can pay you back if you want.
It's been about 8 years since I joined deviantART and it has been amazing to see my works and tutorials being so widely appreciated. I've made many friends here and have had the chance to have thoughtful discussions both in the comments and in notes. I'll treasure this heritage and try find more suitable place for myself to settle in where I can share my art and interact with you.
This is Nsio of the Hermit Mystics, and thank you for all your support. I hope I will see you soon.
